Wilfred Owen: Both of the poems exemplify my horrific memories and experiences of World War I. The poems in particular portray my negative ideas and exaggerate the terrible feelings I have towards war.

Wilfred Owen: The two poems, as I have said before show my negative opinion about war, they both also display the terrible violence that happens during war and whether people can be committed to go back and risk their life for their country, which is clearly shown in The Calls.
